Great staff, odd ship
October
Pros: Great food, clean ship, excellent staff
Cons: Odd ship layout, lackluster entertainment
Recommended: Yes
Carnival Italian Style isn’t for everyone. It seems to appeal to open minded travelers who would be willing to try something new. Carnival diehards probably will find this ship both odd and frustrating.

Good Value for Money
July
Pros: Size, activities, cleanliness, food selection
Cons: Additional fees, debarkation/embarkation
Recommended: Yes
This is a lovely new ship, clean, fresh, and classy. The Italian theme is really nice. Lots to do on board. Warning to families, the height restrictions on the slides are weirdly high - 51 inches. Good food selection, some food better than others. The burger place is always yummy! Carnival needs to seriously work on its embark/debark process. It is absolute insanity as they overlap! Then forget about your embarkation window. I watched in shock as folks who were either early or late bypass the line of people who were there at the correct time. It is clear Carnival is focused on making the process work for them and not the customer. The nickel and diming on the ship is a bit much at times. The one that has us laughing was having to pay $3.50 for a tea bag at the afternoon tea (if you want something other than Lipton). This at an afternoon tea event. My final comment is that Carnival is absolutely a “fun” ship. If you are looking for relaxation or high sophistication, go elsewhere.
