MARVELS OF MUMBAI
Proceed to Gateway of India, the city’s most famous landmark –an Indo-Saracenic archway built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. It was originally conceived as an entry point for passengers arriving on P&O steamers from England; today it is remembered more often as the place from which the British staged their final departure. You will make a stop here for photographs.
See the highlights of the city from the comfort of your minivan as you set off for a tour of Mumbai city. Your tour begins with the Gateway of India (PLEASE STOP FOR A WHILE SO THE GUEST CAN TAKE PHOTO), the city's most famous landmark - an Indo-Saracenic archway built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. It was originally conceived as an entry point for passengers arriving on P&O steamers from England; today it is remembered more often as the place from which the British staged their final departure.
Continue through Marine Drive, Mumbai's seaside promenade, an eight-lane highway with a wide pavement. Its graceful curve sweeps from the skyscrapers at Nariman Point to the foot of Malabar Hill. This hill is Mumbai's ritziest neighborhood. Popular since the 18th century because of its forested slopes, fresh sea breezes and panoramic views, merchants and colonial governors built many mansions and bungalows on its hillsides.
Your drive includes a look at a most remarkable railway station. Inspired by St. Pancras Station in London, the Victoria Terminus was built during Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee year. It is an extraordinary conglomeration of domes, spires, Corinthian columns and minarets in a style that was described by journalist James Cameron as "Victorian-Gothic-Saracenic-Italianate-Oriental-St. Pancras-Baroque". The first train in India left from this station in April 1853; today half a million commuters use the station every day.
Depart to Church Gate Station and spend some time watching the dabba-wallahs, the members of the Mumbai Tiffin Box Suppliers Association. Every day 4,000 of them deliver fresh, home-cooked food from 100,000 suburban kitchens to offices in the downtown area. Each lunch is prepared by a loving wife or mother, and packed into a set of stackable aluminum boxes. The meals are carried to their hungry recipients dangling from shoulder-poles and bicycle handlebars, and stacked on decorated handcarts. Tins are rarely, if ever, lost, and always find their way home again to be washed up for the next day’s lunch.
Even if you are not possessed of an interest in other people’s dirty laundry, you’ll be fascinated by the dhobi ghats, your next stop. Each morning washing from all over Mumbai is brought here to be soaped, soaked, boiled, beaten, and thrashed. The next day, after being aired, pressed, folded and wrapped, the bundles are returned from whence they came. The secret that keeps the operation running smoothly is the coded symbol that each dhobi-wallah places on every item. Invisible to the untrained eye, this mark ensures that nothing will be lost. Stop here for photos that you’ll never be able to duplicate anywhere else.
Proceed for Taj Mahal Hotel for Lunch on direct payment basis.
You will continue to The Prince of Wales Museum, crowned by a white Mughal-style dome, the finest work done by architect George Wittet, who also designed the Gateway of India.

FULL DAY THE CAVES OF ELEPHANTA
FULL DAY
THE CAVES OF ELEPHANTA
More than a thousand years ago, Hindu craftsmen carved columns and sculptures out of a series of caves located on an island off the shores of Mumbai, creating a temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Portuguese named the island Elephanta, after the large statue of an elephant they found near the spot where they docked their ships. Come and discover the unique beauty and intriguing tales of these temple caves with today’s memorable excursion.
Travel by minivan vehicle to the Gateway of India, the city’s most recognized landmark. Built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary, the archway was originally conceived as an entry point for people arriving on steamers from England. Today, the gateway serves as a launching point for your own exploration of the Elephanta Temple.
Boarding a motor boat, enjoy the approximately one hour and thirty minutes cruise to the Elephanta landing. From the jetty you have the option of either taking the mini train or walking approximately 15 minutes to the base of the long stairway which leads to the top of the hill, where the caves are located. As you enter, you will see a magnificent sculpture of Shiva as Nataraj, showing an enraptured expression as he removes the veil of ignorance. The most outstanding sculpture is a bust of Trimurti—the three-faced Shiva representing the Hindu trinity, Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer. In other panels, Shiva is depicted in service to humanity as he brings the River Ganges to Earth, and at his most fearsome as he crushes the demon of Andhaka. Later, board the motor boat for return cruise to the Gateway.
Re-board your vehicle for the transfer back to your ship.

Mumbai, Shore Excursion - 6 hours
You will be met at the pier. (Excursion timings will be subject to the ship's arrival and departure). Once you disembark from your cruise-liner, you will meet your guide in the arrival hall. He will escort you to your waiting vehicle and together you will set of to explore India’s most cosmopolitan city and financial nerve centre – Mumbai.
Your first stop will be to take pictures at Dhobi Ghat, a sight unique to this city. ‘Dhobi Ghat’ or “washerfolks’ place”, is the world's largest outdoor laundry, and where Mumbai's traditional washer-folk - or dhobis - provide a wonderful service, collecting dirty laundry, washing it, and returning it neatly pressed, all for a very small fee.
Drive to Churchgate Station where you get the opportunity to see the famed ‘dabbawallas’ or ‘lunch box carriers’ in action. The Mumbai dabbawallas are international figures now, thanks to Forbes Global. The Forbes story details the efficiency with which they deliver the dabbas or lunch pails of their customers. FULL DAY
MARVELS OF MUMBAI

Next, visit the Great Theatre, dating back to the Hellenistic period. In the 1st century AD it was successfully reconstructed and expanded by the Romans until it reached the seating capacity of 25,000. This is also the place where it is believed that St.Paul preached. It is still used for performances today.
At the end of your day, you will return to Kusadasi and have some time for shopping in town before you embark your ship.

Kusadasi Port - Ephesus & Didyma & Miletus (Full Day Tour)
Arrive in Kusadasi, you will meet your professional guide, holding a name sign outside of the terminal building at the port for private full day sightseeing.
First, visit Ephesus, famous throughout the ancient world for its Temple of Artemis. You will first visit Odeon Theatre where the state affairs used to be held. Then, view The Temple of Hadrian is one of the main attractions at Ephesus, with a beautiful arch on the front facade and interesting reliefs of Medusa. According to the belief of Ephesians, the Medusa head on the porch, would protect the city from its enemies.
Next, you will visit the newly excavated spectacular The Terrace Houses on the Curetes street belonged to the rich people of Ephesus. Many of them were three-storied and had peristyles surrounded by rooms without windows but included frescoes and mosaics of mythological scenes. Some of the frescoes were scenes from the comedies of Menander and the tragedies of Euripides. They were luxuriously furnished private houses with fountains and central heating. Between the street and houses was a portico with a mosaic floor, behind which were shops.
The Great Theatre, dates back to the Hellenistic period. It is one of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus which has the capacity of 25,000 seats. The theatre was used for concerts, plays and religious, political and philosophical discussions and for gladiator and animal fights. Marble Road, runs between the Library of Celsus and the theater and is a part of the sacred walk way.
Then, you will drive approximately 1½ hours to visit the ancient cities of Miletus and Didyma.
Lunch suggested at a local restaurant.
Next, visit Miletus an ancient city located near the present Akkoy at the mouth of the Buyuk Menderes (Meander) River, owed its importance to its position on trade routes. It was one of the largest cities in Anatolia with a population of between 80,000 and 100,000. Highly prosperous, it founded many colonies and was the home of the 6C BC philosophers Anaximander, Anaximenes, and Thales, the town planner Hippodamus and architect Isidorus. Miletus seems to have produced geniuses the way Aphrodisias produced sculptors.
Last, you will visit Didyma. The word Didyma meant "twins" and was associated by some as being the meeting place of Zeus and Leto to have their twins Apollo and Artemis. Didyma was famed as a prophecy center dedicated to Apollo which served a similar purpose as the Delphi of Anatolia. It was not a city but a sanctuary linked to Miletus by Milesians with a 19 km/12 m sacred road. However, this road may not have been constructed until the end of the 1C AD. In addition to pilgrimages made by sea, some festivals of drama, music and sports were held there every four years.

Kusadasi: Ancient Ephesus Tour - 7 hours
An English speaking lecturer/guide will meet the guests at the exit of the cruise pier in KUSADASI.
After a short drive to Ephesus, the guests experience their private tour of this fascinating historical site. First, a visit will be made to the remarkable Greco-Roman archeological city of Ancient Ephesus, that flourished as a prominent cultural city and seaport between 600 BC and 500 AD.
The walking tour will begin along the Royal Road also known as the Arcadian Way, the 4th century white marble chariot thoroughfare whose most striking sight today is the two-story Library of Celsus. Uniquely beautiful, the Library once housed 12,000 scrolls of papyrus manuscripts making it the second largest library in the ancient world after the one in Alexandria, Egypt. The walk along the Royal Road also takes the visitors past the remains of some of the ancient city’s major civic buildings and temples as you move toward the Ephesus Theater from which St. Paul once preached to the Pagan Ephesians. The theater, seating 25,000 has exceptional acoustics and is still in use today for concerts and theatrical performances in summertime.
Then move to see the ongoing excavations of the Greco-Roman places-the “Elite Yamac Homes of Antiquity” (Terrace Houses) with their magnificent mosaics and frescoes.
From here, the guests will proceed to the small, but distinguished and rightly famous Ephesus Museum with unique examples of the very best Greco-Roman sculpture in the world, and with an exciting new display of Medical instruments from that era.
Finally, drive up the mountainside to visit to the so-called House of the Virgin Mary, a lovely chapel set in the hills behind Ephesus, said by some to be the last home of the Virgin Mary, where St. Paul took her for her safety away from the Pagan Ephesians.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel or to your cruise ship.

Kusadasi: Priene Day Tour - 7 hours
The guests will be met by a lecturer/guide at the exit of the pier in KUSADASI and drive south to visit Priene.
This ancient city is not especially large, but has an unusual intimacy and charm, in part because so many historical private houses have survived to this day. All the monuments you will see, date from the Hellenistic period, and all of them are aligned according to a strict grid-plan of the kind developed by Hippodamos, a native of neighboring Miletus. The monuments include the Temple of Zeus, a council chamber, and a small amphi-theatre. Yet Priene’s greatest treasure is its Temple of Athena, which was considered the masterpiece of the architect Pytheos who also designed the Mausoleum at Halicarnassos (Bodrum) known to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
After exploring Priene, the guests will cross the broad flood-plain of the river Maeander to continue to Miletus. This was once a major port but silt carried down by the River Meander blocked its harbor centuries ago. The ancient harbor is now several miles from the sea. The town is laid out according to a grid-plan designed by Hippodamos, which centers on three spacious agoras (marketplaces) today. The most striking features of the site today are the Baths of Faustina and the massive Roman Theatre.
A paved Sacred Way leads from Miletus to Dydima, not a classic town but rather a sacred precinct centering on a colossal Temple of Apollo surrounded by a double colonnade of no less than 108 huge columns. Work on the temple continued for 500 years, but its design was so ambitious that, when work was abandoned in the 4th C. AD, it was still unfinished. Even unfinished and in ruins, the temple at Dydima remains to be one of the most awe-inspiring antique monuments to be found anywhere around the Eastern Mediterranean.
At the end of the tour, the guests will be escorted back to their hotel or to the pier in KUSADASI.

The town itself houses about hundreds of old local Greek homes which have been superbly renovated and opened to the public.. The town also houses an authentic local market where different agricultural products are sold.

New York City: Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty was a gift of international friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States. It is one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy. The views of the Statue from the water are breathtaking and reminiscent of what immigrants first saw entering New York Harbor.
Ellis Island
Ellis Island opened in 1892 and was the entry point for European immigrants for more than 60 years. Twelve million people passed through the halls that are now the historical Ellis Island Immigration Museum. Walk through the Great Hall as the new Americans once did – ancestors of more than half of the US population. You can search for your family surname on the American Immigrant wall of Honor. Like most of the developing city in the early years, SoHo (which stands for South of Houston Street – and by the way, it’s pronounced How-ston) started as a small village. Over time, the neighborhood went from the wealthiest, to the most industrial, to a slum called “Hell’s 100 acres.” Now it is back to trendy again. SoHo is one of the most stylish neighborhoods in New York City, with clues of its past around every corner. Several of its cast iron buildings built in the mid-1800s still stand. As you explore the area, you will get the feel of its many cobblestone streets. When artists arrived in SoHo in the 1970s, they began the revival of the neighborhood. You’ll visit two of SoHo’s famed art galleries, including the Earth Room. Next to SoHo is NoLIta – which is Northern Little Italy. The area is home to the old St. Patrick’s Cathedral. One story in particular your guide will impart is the 1799 murder of Elma Sands, the “Ghost of Spring Street.”

New York City: The Origins of NYC Sightseeing Program
New York traces its rich history to Lower Manhattan, the meeting point of the Hudson River and the East River. Originally named Nieuw (New) Amsterdam, New York City began as a small Dutch settlement in what is now known as Lower Manhattan. Broadway, which was then called Heere Straat (Gentleman Street), was nothing but a small road. Wall Street actually had a wall back in 1653 to protect the settlers from attacks. As the city grew, so did the nation. New York was the first capital of the United States and the spot where George Washington was inaugurated is marked by his statue. Over the years, Lower Manhattan has become the financial capital of the world. Today, the streets are teeming with people and filled with stories of New York’s past, present, and future. As you explore Lower Manhattan with your guide, you’ll see the 9/11 Memorial, St. Paul’s Chapel, Battery Park, and Trinity Church as you learn about the history of the Native Americans, Dutch, and English.

New York City: Statue of Liberty Tour & Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial Museum - 8 Hours
Highlights:
We are excited to share that we’ve brought together three attractions that tell the history - both the good and the bad - of Lower Manhattan into one complete package with our Statue of Liberty Tour & Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial Museum experience.
Statue of Liberty: For as long as she's been standing over New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty is synonymous with New York City. It is the number one landmark that people think of when they think of the city and the one place most people head to as first-time visitors.
Ellis Island: Ellis Island is synonymous with Lady Liberty. And for most people, when taking the ferry over to Liberty Island, a stop at Ellis Island is a must.
9/11 Memorial & Museum: Since its opening in 2014, the 9/11 Memorial Museum has also become a top ten must-see, along with the 9/11 Memorial itself.
On this full-day tour, your expert private tour guide will escort you to all three for one unforgettable day. Join us for an immersive history lesson that embodies travel as a living classroom.
• Your Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial Museum experience begins when you’re picked up by our professional driver in a private luxury vehicle.
• Your driver will take you downtown to Battery Park where you’ll meet your private, professional tour guide to begin the journey to your first destination.
• Upon your arrival at Battery Park, you’ll board a ferry run by Statue Cruises to head across the New York Harbor for an up close and personal look at Lady Liberty.
• Once on Liberty Island, you’ll get to go inside this magnificent statue where you can access the pedestal for amazing outside views. You’ll also visit the new Statue of Liberty museum where you’ll get a peek at her original torch, an opportunity to measure your foot against Lady Liberties, enjoy an immersive theater experience and learn everything you always wanted to know about this symbol of American freedom.
• After departing Liberty Island your next stop is Ellis Island where over 12 million immigrants arrived on US shores.
• Your Ellis Island tour will consist of a visit to the National Museum of Immigration where you’ll learn about how immigrants were processed as they arrived – and have the opportunity to learn more about your family history.
• After your time on these two islands, you’ll board the ferry for the ride back to Lower Manhattan. Once you have disembarked the ferry your guide will walk you through Battery Park where you’ll continue until you reach the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
• Here you’ll tour the grounds of the 9/11 Memorial where you’ll encounter the two reflecting pools created to honor those we lost on that fateful day. Among the other things you’ll see are two items that survived the attacks that day - the Survivor Tree (a Callery pear tree) and The Sphere (the world's largest bronze sculpture of modern times).
• After paying your respects on the grounds where the Twin Towers once stood, you’ll head into the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Here you’ll learn the history of not only the 9/11 attacks – but of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as well. Since private guided tours cannot be conducted within the museum, your private tour guide will give a brief synopsis of what you are about to see before entering the building. Your 9 11 museum tour is surely one you will never forget and a must-do for anyone coming to New York City.
• Upon completion of these three pieces of American history your private driver will pick you up in your luxury vehicle and drop you off at your requested end destination.

As the fifth largest park in the city, it covers an impressive 843 acres and has much to offer. If you don't feel like walking we have a great alternative! How about pedaling instead, courtesy of our Private NYC Bike Tour of Central Park?
On this scenic two-hour adventure through bike-friendly Central Park, your expert, licensed tour guide will ride alongside you as they relate the history of New York City, told in terms of the development of the city and its parks. They’ll also share little-known, interesting facts about the park – which just so happens to be the first landscaped public park in the United States.
From the familiar Bethesda Fountain – it has appeared in numerous movies and tv shows, to the regal Belvedere Castle with its fabulous views, from the Central Park Zoo – home to many different species of animals to Sheep Meadow – once home to, well, sheep – you’ll see all this and more while making your way around the park on this private guided bike tour.
